All NEW projects submitted for plan review and inspection requests after 1-26-2023 shall be submitted through MGO.
All new contractors and existing contractors must register within the MGO system.
If you have a current contractor registration that is not expired, you are required to re-register, and you will not be charged any additional fees.

The City has contracted with MyGovernmentOnline to provide fully digital, web-based permitting and plan review services. All contractor registrations and all residential and commercial permit applications are now submitted online at MyGovernmentOnline. You must create a free account with MyGovernmentOnline (or login to your existing account) to submit a permit application or request an inspection.

PERMITS & INSPECTIONS
Step 1: You must create a free account with MyGovernmentOnline (or login to your existing account).
Step 2: Submit a permit application or schedule an inspection via: MyGovernmentOnline.
Inspections are conducted between the hours of 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday. Failure to obtain a permit with the City prior to the commencement of work will result in a penalty permit fee.
COMPLETION OF INSPECTION
Residential and Commercial Building permits are reviewed by Aoka Code Consulting. Inspections are conducted to ensure that a project is in compliance with city ordinances and state regulations. At the completion of each inspection, the Inspector will upload inspection results on MyGovernmentOnline. The status of all your inspections, permits, and plan reviews can be viewed by accessing your Account -> My Permits -> View -> Requirements.

Please Note: If your inspection requires a correction, that item must be corrected and re-inspected again for compliance before the project can proceed. If an inspection has failed, a re-inspection fee will be applied and must be paid prior to scheduling a re-inspection.
CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION/LICENSES:
All contractors applying for a permit from the City of Pleasanton will be required to register on MyGovernmentOnline.
THE REGISTRATION PROCESS ON MYGOVERNMENTONLINE WILL REQUIRE YOU TO PROVIDE COPIES OF THE FOLLOWING DOCUMENTS:
- Copy of Trade Master License (front & back).
- Copy of a Valid Driver’s License
- Certificate of Liability Insurance for:

- Minimum $300,000 per occurrence (combined for property damage and bodily injury);
- Minimum $600,000 aggregate (total amount the policy will pay for property damage and bodily injury coverage); and
- Minimum $300,000 aggregate for products and completed operation
- Insurance should reflect the City of Pleasanton as the Certificate Holder.
