Who may use the Library?
The Library primarily serves the residents of the City of Pleasanton, and Atascosa County but any patron who wanders in is welcome to utilize materials as well as the computers and information in-house.
How do I get a library card?
If your Texas Driver’s License or Texas I.D. shows your current City of Pleasanton or Atascosa County address, that is all you will need to show when you visit. If it does not and you live within the county, bring a picture I.D. and a recent bill, voter registration card or something with your current address. If you live outside of the county and would like a card, you can purchase an annual membership for only $25.00.
How many items can I check out and how many days can I keep them?
Our library is in transition and plenty of changes are coming to better serve you. For now the limits and check out periods are as follows:

Books & Audio Books 5 2 weeks
Magazines/Newspapers 3 3  days
DVDs 2 1 week
How can I renew items?
Books can be renewed in person, online or by calling the Library during work hours. For more information call us at: (830) 569-5901. For instructions on accessing your online account please click here.
What if an item I check out is lost, stolen, or damaged while I have it?
Please take care of your library materials and your library card. Damaged or lost materials will be charged to the account to which the items are checked out, Please call us immediately if you think you have lost your card—you are responsible for items that appear on your record.
Where do I return items after hours?
If you enter the parking lot through Goodwin or Smith Street, you will find our night drop box located to the right of the Library entrance.
