Contest your Citation or Speak

PLEA OF NOT GUILTY AND CONTEST YOUR CITATION:You have the right to fight or contest your citation if you feel you were wrongfully cited. At this point, you would need to submit your Not Guilty plea to the Court at the office, by email, or by mail, together with a copy of your identification or Driver’s License. Once we receive the required paperwork, the Court will set your case with the City Prosecutor to discuss it at a later date during a Pre-Trial hearing. After the hearing with the City Prosecutor, Judge will review the case and will go over it with you.

TALKING TO THE CITY PROSECUTOR:

You have the right to speak to the City Prosecutor about your citation. She can give you other options that the court cannot offer you. For example, she may reduce the amount and keep it off your record, this all depends on the violation. Please submit the form titled "INFO FORM" to the Court at the office, by email, or by mail, together with a copy of your identification or Driver’s License. Once we receive the required paperwork, the Court will set your case with the City Prosecutor to discuss it at a later date during a Pre-Trial hearing. After the hearing with the City Prosecutor, Judge will review the case and will go over it with you.
